A New Zealand innovation established in 2001, Climate Surfaces provide powder coating solutions for the commercial and residential construction industry in Australia and New Zealand. The patented Climate® powder coating technology uses the efficiency, performance, sustainability and aesthetics of powder coating to add performance, value and decoration to plywood, MDF and plasterboard building substrates. We have also developed our own products, marketed by Climate and sold via Distributors and Merchants within Australia and New Zealand.

A Climate® powder coat finish is the added protection and colour on many plywood, plasterboard and MDF building materials which are used as plywood claddings, rigid air barriers, interior wall and ceiling linings and interior commercial fittings. 

The Climate® powder coating process is a leading sustainable coating technology proven in the metal coatings market for decades and now emerging as a sustainable technology for the furniture and construction industries. Powder coatings are a 100% solid coating material, therefore no solvents or water is used in the material or application process.  The powder is VOC free and the coating process is very low waste due to the ability to recycle waste powder back into the coating process, so up to 95% powder utilisation is possible.
